Migrating your data from Cronometer to macros.gg
This guide explains step by step how to export your history from Cronometer and import it seamlessly into macros.gg. It takes about ten minutes.
Exporting from Cronometer
NOTE: Cronometer's export only works on their website, so this is easiest done on a computer.
Go to your Cronometer account settings
Exporting only works on the website, not the mobile app. You can also get there from the sidebar under More → Your Account.
Open Export Data
It's in the Account Data section, a short scroll down the page.
Export your data
In the Export Data dialog, set the range to All Time, then click Export Daily Nutrition — that's the one that matters. Also click Export Food & Recipe Entries and Export Biometrics to bring your custom foods and weigh-ins along. You'll get a file from each:
- Export Daily Nutrition → dailysummary.csvrequired
- Export Food & Recipe Entries → servings.csvoptional — custom foods
- Export Biometrics → biometrics.csvoptional — weight history
Importing to macros.gg
Go to your
Scroll down to the Import data section and click on Import from Cronometer, then upload the files you just downloaded.
Review the preview and import
Before anything is saved you'll see exactly what's coming — days, weigh-ins, recreated foods, and anything skipped, with reasons. Click Import, and seconds later your diary, trends, and weight chart include the history.
Welcome home.
- Your summarized log history
- The saved foods we could recreate
- Your weight history
